Invisible woman

You ever have one of those days/weeks/months where you just feel invisible? When no-one seems to recognise your hard work or even acknowledge your existence? Well, I've been having one of those for a while now but the sun broke through the clouds a little yesterday and then again today.

I had a few days off from work and the welcome back I got yesterday made me realise I'm not invisible or unappreciated at all. Also made me realise how much I actually enjoy going to work .. not for the actual work, but for the company of the people. It's kind of like a big family .. you know: mostly people you would choose to be around (at least some of the time) with the occasional one you would gladly give away to the nearest travelling circus or failing that the nearest loony bin!

It is hard juggling work, the boys and Peter when he's home, but I think I would go mad if I didn't have that outlet. Admittedly, none of the people at work see the "real" me, issues and all, but it's still good to get out of the house and face the world.

Great to hear the people at work appreciate you. But it's not as important as appreciating yourself!!! You know that you are a good wife, a good workmate then you owe it to yourself to be a "good you". Do the things that you need to do to make you happy!! Not eating :) But really happy! If your weight is depressing (and I'm guessing it's not helping your actual depression) then figure out ways you can get rid of some. It's simple changes...feel like eating?
Grab a glass of water and go onto the computer - you'll forget you were even going to eat!! Changes like diet soda, one sandwich instead of two will make HUGE impact on your weight REALLY quickly...and when this happens you'll want to lose more!! Believe me it works :) Do it for YOU!!
Big hugs and I'm REALLY glad you had a big welcome back to work :) It's great to be appreciated!!!

Thanks both of you! Yay, I'm not invisible!!

Le@anne, my kind of comfort eating is the kind you do when you're doing something else .. in front of the TV, while reading, etc. I don't actually eat that much at mealtimes .. can never have two sandwiches or a whole burger .. so it's more about the food choices.

Lita, there is no way in this wide world that you are invisible! You are such a generous spirited person with a wonderfully big heart, that everyone notices and loves you for who you are!

Thanks guys!!
